Brian Jones sits in a unique place in the story of NEXT.

He is a member of Champion Forest and he also serves on staff with the For All Mankind Movement, a missions organization taking the gospel into some of the most unreached places on earth, especially Nepal.

So when Brian talks about the NEXT Initiative, he is not speaking from theory. He is speaking from experience.

“As a member of Champion Forest and as a staff member of FAMM, I get so excited about NEXT because I know what you’re investing in. Champion Forest is going to see countless lives transformed with the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Brian has spent more than seven years serving with FAMM. Their mission is simple and bold. Reach people with the gospel. Disciple new believers. Plant churches. Then send those believers back to their own people to reach their neighbors.

Much of their work takes place in South Asia, in regions where less than two percent of the population knows Jesus. In many villages, people have never even heard His name.

Brian has seen it firsthand.

He has sat in villages sharing the story of Christ through an interpreter, only to have someone look at him and say, “This is a wonderful story. But tell me, who is this Jesus? I’ve never heard his name.”

He has watched as men and women who have lived their entire lives in spiritual darkness suddenly see the light of Christ for the first time. He has witnessed entire families come to faith. He has seen churches planted where there were none.

And he has seen the power of the gospel spread fastest through local believers who know the language, the culture, and the people.

“The greatest thing we can do is train up indigenous leaders within their own communities. They know their neighbors. They know their villages. They share Jesus more effectively than I ever could.”

Champion Forest first partnered with FAMM in 2018, when Brian sat down with the missions team and shared what God was doing through their efforts. The vision caught quickly. When Pastor Jarrett heard about it, he saw the opportunity to do something even bigger in Nepal.

That vision is now becoming reality through NEXT.

Through the generosity of our church family, this partnership will be expanded in a powerful way. More indigenous pastors will be trained. More gospel workers will be equipped. More churches will be planted. More villages will hear the name of Jesus for the first time.

“In Nepal, there are people who are willing to lay down their lives for Christ,” Brian says. “They are fearless in sharing the gospel. And with the support of Champion Forest, they are going to be fully resourced and ready to go.”

This is what NEXT makes possible.

Not just buildings and campuses.
Not just technology and facilities.
But missionaries sent. Churches planted. Lives transformed.

From Houston to the Himalayas, the gospel is moving forward.

And through NEXT, Champion Forest is helping carry it there.
