Next is a Bold Calling

For our church to prepare for what God is about to do in expanding faith, capacity, and reach in anticipation of His blessing.

A call to Remember

A History of Impact

Throughout the Scriptures, when God is calling His people into what is next, He calls them to remember all of the things He has done with them up until that point. His past works usher His people into the new calling and strengthens their faith.

Stuebner Airline and Strack for $2.27 million, now known as the Champions Campus.

Services begin at the new site while construction continues, Phase II is completed, the church fully relocates to Stuebner Airline, and the former Champion Forest Drive property is sold.

2000–2002

The Champions Campus launches construction of a 4,500-seat Worship Center, Chapel, Library, and expanded infrastructure, culminating in the dedication of the new Worship Center on August 18, 2002.

2007

Following Pastor Shook’s retirement and the election of a new Pastor Search Committee, Dr. David Fleming is overwhelmingly affirmed as the church’s third Senior Pastor and begins his ministry in January 2007.

2007

CF embraces multilingual and multicultural ministry, becoming one church in two languages with the launch of the Spanish ministry.

2013

CF becomes a multi-site church with the launch of the North Klein Campus, as 300 church members begin meeting weekly in the Klein Multipurpose Center.

2021-2025

The church celebrates a historic milestone with 5 consecutive record-setting baptism years, and for the first time sees over 1,000 people baptized in one year.

World

Champion Forest has always been a church marked by bold faith and a deep love for people, rooted in God’s work. From the very beginning, we have carried a vision to reach our neighbors with the hope of Christ and to extend that hope far beyond our own walls.

Today, we stand at another defining moment - looking to the next horizon of ministry with expectancy and courage. Together, we will embrace God’s call to impact generations to come, carrying the Gospel from Northwest Houston to the world.

An Invitation

Through NEXT, we will be able to create new levels of ministry capacity at our existing locations, but will also be able to extend ministry in exciting new places.

Courageous generosity

We believe God is calling us to step forward in faith, trusting Him with courageous generosity where every gift matters and each becoming a vital part of fueling the mission and reaching the next horizon of ministry.

Bold faith

This is a moment for every household to unite in bold faith, knowing that together we can accomplish far more than we ever could alone.

Lives changed

As we give with open hearts, we will see lives changed and the Church strengthened.

North Klein CAMPUS

North Klein Expansion — Kids & Adult Discipleship Space and Parking Lot

“I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead for North Klein. The new spaces for kids and adults will not only help us keep up with the incredible growth we’re seeing, but also create more room for life-changing ministry every week. This expansion is all about making sure every person who walks through our doors has a place to belong and grow in their faith. I’m so thankful for our church family and excited about the future!”

Steven Morris
North Klein Campus Pastor

The additional space at our North Klein Campus will increase our adult Life Group space enough to more than double our average adult Life Group attendance.

Our prayer is that as North Klein continues to grow, we’re able to continue building out the master plan we have for the campus in the future. The space added during the Next Initiative plus the space added in 2024 for the Student Ministry at North Klein, will set the campus up to continue reaching and discipling more for Jesus.

Digital Media

Digital Ministry & Broadcast Expansion

To take the gospel from Northwest Houston to the world, Champion Forest will expand its digital footprint by strengthening broadcast capabilities, embracing new media, and launching global outreach platforms that reach homes, prisons, and hearts around the world. This expanded reach includes *Forward with Jarrett Stephens, *Hacia Adelante with Ramon Medina, and prison outreach through the Pando app.

*This does not include the purchase of airtime

The updates to our Worship Center and the expansion of our digital reach are going to open new doors like never before. These projects will create spaces—both in the room and online—where people can encounter God in powerful ways. I believe what’s coming will inspire and equip us to share the hope of Jesus farther than we’ve ever dreamed.

Michael Neale
Pastor of Multisite Experience & CF Creative

What is Pando?

One example of how our digital presence will reach places few can go is through the Pando app. Pando was originally created for people who are incarcerated and is the first app of its kind available within correctional facilities. Through secure tablets, inmates across the country can experience the love of Christ through life-changing content, available 24/7, at no cost.

The Next Initiative Prepares Us In Three Key Areas:

Strategic Operations

This covers our outsourced sermon editing, broadcast packaging, and the strategy firm guiding our media planning, placement, and optimization. It ensures our content is world-class, our buys are smart, and every dollar is working toward measurable ministry growth.

Local Broadcast with National Expansion Potential

This is our presence on CBS Houston, establishing Champion Forest as the spiritual landing spot for Northwest Houston. As resources provide, this also creates a pathway toward national broadcast opportunities through networks like TBN, extending our voice and Kingdom impact far beyond our city.

This does not include the purchase of airtime.

Digital Reach

This is our YouTube and streaming TV footprint across platforms like Roku, Hulu, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire, along with distribution through the Pando prison app and Spanish-language digital channels. It puts our message into homes, personal devices, and correctional facilities, reaching people wherever they are and in the language they understand.

“In the DNA of Champion Forest, there has always been a heartbeat for those who do not yet know Christ. We have always existed for people not yet here. As we consider what the Next chapter is missionally for us, we are focusing on planting more churches in Nepal, England, Italy, and Spain. New churches reach new people.
We want to help FAMM (For All Mankind Movement) reach Nepal. We want to partner with the International Mission Board to establish a Church Planting Residency in Valencia, Spain—replicating what we currently do with Spanish church planting pastors at CF.
And we want to plant new churches across parts of Europe with Greater Europe Mission to take the Light back into dark places that once burned bright with the gospel. Next will help us do this together.”

Magnolia

Third Campus in the Magnolia region

Building on the success of the North Klein Campus, Champion Forest will establish a third campus along the growing HWY 249 corridor, reaching new communities with the gospel and extending the church’s mission further than ever before. The funds raised during Next will allow us to secure land for this new work.

Why should we begin a work in the Magnolia region?

In the beginning stages of our conversations as it related to North Magnolia, one of the very first people we met and consulted with was the Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association (TEVA) Executive Director, Roger Yancey. He was THRILLED we were considering launching a campus (different than an autonomous church plant) in this area for several reasons.

1. The population in our focus area is estimated to be at 192,000 people by 2035. It’s going to take MULTIPLE churches, campuses, and new church plants to reach the amount of people moving into our target area.

2. TEVA has what they call “critical and priority zones” where the hope is to establish multiple Kingdom works as the population continues to increase. The areas we are looking to begin our work in fit within these targeted zones.

3. New churches/works tend to grow at a faster clip than established churches because they reach new people – it’s one of the major reasons for new church plants and new campuses.

We had Roger come and share with our NEXT Vision Team toward the very beginning of our meetings together, and he wept with joy and gratitude that we were following God’s leading to begin a work in this area. He said he’s been praying for years for a “church like Champion Forest” to come and have a presence in the area. He believes us being there will make all of the churches in the area better and more effective – it’s the “rising tide lifts all boats” concept.

All of this affirms that God is opening a door in the Magnolia region, and we are stepping forward in faith to join what He is already doing there.

Pray

Talk and pray as a family about what courageous generosity looks like in your home. We are praying for a $6 million First and Best Offering on March 1, 2026 and for three-year pledges that will carry the NEXT vision forward.

Everything begins with prayer. Ask God to open your heart to what He is doing through Next and how He wants to use you in it. Pray for our church to walk together in faith, unity, and joy. Pray for every life that will be touched through these efforts, from Northwest Houston to the world. As you pray, listen for His voice and trust that He will lead you to take your next step of faith.

  • We are praying for a $6 million First and Best Offering on March 1, 2026.
  • We are praying for $22 million in three-year commitments to carry the Next vision forward.

Participate

Join us each week for worship and Life Groups as we walk through NEXT together.

Engage with our daily devotionals in February and grow in your faith, obedience, and generosity.

NEXT is a journey we walk together.

Join us each week for worship and Life Groups as we move through this season as one church family. Follow along with daily devotionals, grow deeper in your faith, and learn what it means to live with open hands and courageous generosity.

We are praying for 100% participation from every generation. Kids, students, adults, seniors. Every campus. Every family. Every story matters.

Imagine what God could do if we all lean in together. Imagine the lives that could be changed, the families restored, and the future that could be built for generations to come.

This is our moment to step forward in faith. Let’s walk it together.

Propel

Determine your giving amount and bring it March 1st.

This "First and Best Offering" will push us forward as we begin projects immediately.

Faith always moves forward.

From the beginning, God has moved His people by faith, calling them to trust Him, step out in obedience, and believe Him for more than they could ever accomplish on their own. That same invitation stands before us today.

As each of us takes our step of obedience, we help propel the mission of Champion Forest forward from Northwest Houston to the world. Every gift becomes part of God’s unfolding story. Every act of generosity helps create space for more people to encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and be transformed by His grace.

Together, we are building something that will outlast us. We are investing in the next generation. We are expanding our reach. We are preparing the way for lives to be changed for years to come.

This is our opportunity to respond in faith.

Pray, plan, and determine your giving amount. Then come prepared to take your step of obedience and bring your gift on March 1.

Give

This is your moment to move. Step into what God is building next.

Staying Committed || Jarrett Stephens

What does it look like when faith moves from burden to action? In Nehemiah 2–3, we see a leader who has prayed, planned, and waited for the right moment, and then steps forward in faith when God opens the door. Pastor Jarrett Stephens walks us through Nehemiah’s call to action, showing how God uses prepared people, unified effort, and obedient courage to accomplish His work. This message reminds us that God-sized vision always requires faith-filled action. Opposition will come. Resistance is inevitable. But when God’s people commit themselves to a good work, trusting the good hand of God, He does more than rebuild walls. He strengthens hearts, unifies His people, and advances His purposes for His glory. As we step into the NEXT initiative together, this message calls each of us to ask where God is inviting us to act, to sacrifice, and to play our part in what He is building.

The Start to Something Great || Jarrett Stephens

Pastor Jarrett Stephens kicks off our NEXT series journey through Nehemiah with a message about how God starts something great. In Nehemiah 1, we see the unseen hand of God’s providence at work through history, placing the right person in the right place at the right time, and we see the powerful posture of a leader whose heart breaks for people, not projects. This message is a call to ask God for a burden, to believe He can do anything, and to prepare to act on faith. As our church steps into the NEXT initiative, Nehemiah helps us remember what matters most: the people behind the walls, the lives behind the needs, and the spiritual work God wants to do in and through His Church.

FAQs

You've got questions? We've got answers! Explore the FAQ section today.

What is the purpose of the Next Initiative?

Next is a churchwide journey of generosity that prepares us for what God is calling Champion Forest to do in the coming years. It strengthens every campus, expands ministry capacity, and positions our church to reach more people with the gospel locally and globally.

How long does Next last?

Next is a three-year initiative beginning on Vision Sunday, February 1, 2026. Gifts may be given at any time during this three-year period.

What is Commitment Sunday?

March 1, 2026, is Commitment Sunday. On this day, we are asking our church family to:
1. Bring our FIRST and BEST OFFERING toward Next, with a goal of $6 million.
2. Bring our 3-year pledge commitment with a goal of $22 million.

How do three-year commitments work?

Each household prayerfully asks God what they should give over the next three years. Commitments can be fulfilled weekly, monthly, annually, or in any rhythm that fits your financial plan.

How does borrowing fit into the overall plan?

Next includes a strategic borrowing component that allows essential projects to begin rapidly and be completed wisely. Generous giving reduces long-term borrowing.

When are we hoping to begin remodeling the Champions Campus Worship Center and the North Klein Campus expansion?

We hope to begin remodeling the Champions Campus WC following Easter (April 2026) and we hope to break ground for the North Klein Campus expansion in August. Each of these start dates depend on our Commitment Sunday outcome (March 1).
